Picked up my first 29er this week from Bicycles and More. It is a 2009 Cannondale 29er F1. Less than 5 minutes into the ride I lost my balance in some rocks and tipped over. First scratch on the new ride! Had to happen sooner or later. The bike felt pretty good. I was a bit sketchy in the rocks and over some obstacles for a while but managed to get over a couple of things that have been giving me trouble on the 26″ ride. It was a short ride, just over 4 miles. This was the first hardtail that I’ve ridden in years and along with no suspension it took some getting used to. So far so good. My only concern at this point is the Lefty shock. Sounds like it might need quite a bit of upkeep. s I get more rides in I’ll post more about it.

March 7th, 2009I am in the process of trying to update the site a bit and start updating it on a more regular basis. If you’re reading this blog you’ve probably already noticed that I have added a forum area to the site. At this point there are only two forums, AR – General and Grass Roots Racing. More forums and topics will be added over the next week.
